Lenses For Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a condition that requires a slightly more complicated prescription. Two differently powered lenses are required and need to be orientated in a specific direction at 90 degrees to each other. Many people attend our clinics believing that they cannot wear contact lenses because of astigmatism. This may have come from previous practitioners advice or simply from friends giving incorrect advice.
In fact contact lenses could possibly offer better vision than glasses for people with astigmatism. Lenses are available in both soft and rigid versions although, the rigid gas permeable deigns can often give the best results. For more information click on a button below to see what is available.
