Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses

One of the earliest popular lens designs these small rigid plastic lenses were developed in Lytham St Annes of all places in the 1960's. A well fitted RGP lens was and still can be a revelation to the wearer often giving better sight than any glasses can offer.

They are completely customisatable and can be fitted to almost any eye and prescription in single vision or multifocal. They are small and very easy to handle and will last for at least 12 months, if not longer!

It's not all rosy, however, as these lenses take some getting used to, but once acclimatised  they can often be the "best thing since sliced bread!"
