OUR PRACTICE

Thompson and Hardwick was established in 2001 in Lytham under the original name of G R Hardwick Optometrists, after working for and with Mr Gary Hardwick, Drew Thompson became a partner in 2018. The practice has had a strong tie to the community with both owners residing in the town as well as being active members in the Lytham Business Partnership. Our philosophy is to achieve the best professional service with from simple spectacle and contact lens dispensing through to emergency eyecare and disease management. WE aim to have both a unique and varied product selection and are keen to differentiate ourselves from the standard Optician's stereotype.

We are especially passionate about contact lenses and consider ourselves somewhat of a specialist in this area.  Drew regularly attends the hospital eye department providing support to the cornea service, whilst also running a traumatic eye visual rehabilitaion service. We have even been commissioned to design and provide lenses for the entertainment industry with credits ranging from the small screen to big holywood productions.
